XO Communications has become a member of the Amazon Web Services Partner Network to offer AWS Direct Connect network users access XO’s Enterprise Ethernet and Intelligent WAN product portfolio.
XO said Wednesday it aims to give AWS Direct Connect users secure connections of between 1 and 10 gigabytes per second, as well as application visibility for cloud-based enterprise applications.
Don MacNeil, XO chief operating officer, said the company wants organizations to use a private circuit instead of the public Internet and eliminate interruptions.
The company intends for its Enterprise Ethernet and Intelligent WAN products to help businesses connect their data center, colocation facility or main office to AWS Direct Connect locations in the U.S.
