Northrop Grumman has received a customer service-related award from a BAE Systems unit for work to supply a platform management system to the U.K.’s defense ministry.
BAE Systems Maritime-Submarines chose Northrop to receive the supplier award for the ministry’s Astute nuclear-powered submarine program, Northrop announced Wednesday.
Sperry Marine, a Northrop business unit based in New Malden, accepted the Customer Focus Award during BAE’s 2014 Annual Supplier Forum.
Northrop’s platform management system will be installed on the British navy’s Astute Boat 4.
