battelle - ExecutiveMosaicBattelle will work with the Franklin County, Ohio government to identify the emergency communication requirements of that county’s 42 jurisdictions.

Franklin County’s emergency management and homeland Security agency awarded Battelle a contract to assess the county’s mass notification system needs, Battelle said Monday.

The organization will assist in focus groups to explore methods to alert residents in the event of a severe weather event or a hazardous material spill.

“We are honored to be able to continue our working relationship with Franklin County Emergency Management and Homeland Security,” said Kim Stambler, a Battelle program manager.

Organizations use emergency alert systems to disseminate information during a critical situation via social media, texts, phone and emails.
