Toshiba has unveiled a range of new mobile computers, displays and cloud computing service offerings for healthcare organizations.
The Encore and Excite line of tablets are designed to run on both Windows 8 and Android operating systems and seek to help users access data from a picture archiving and communication system, Toshiba said Wednesday.
Toshiba offers Tecra and Portege laptops for clinicians to electronically organize medical records, prescriptions and workflows, the company says.
Wesley Smith, Toshiba director of healthcare information systems, said the company aims for clients to manage patient care by using mobile computing technology.
The company also unveiled a range of software-as-a-service and infrastructure-as-a-service platforms that are hosted from Toshiba cloud data centers.
Toshiba’s healthcare display systems are intended to facilitate interactive training and enable user access to enterprise applications.
