SGI and Cognilytics have partnered to integrate high-performance computing with predictive analytics products with the goal of applying the combined tool for big data.
InfiniteData Cluster is a cluster computing platform and SGI UV is a shared-memory platform that is built to carry out micro-second data analysis, SGI said Thursday
Jorge Titinger, CEO of SGI, said the companies aim to help businesses use big data to gain insight into their operations.
UV is built to provide users up to 64 terabytes of cache coherent shared memory and to produce graph analytics for discovering knowledge, SGI says.
The companies also are working together to build an SAP HANA in-memory computing appliance by using Cognilytics’ experience in implementing technologies such as Hadoop, as well as SAP’s platform and analytics tools.
