Kim Vanderland, founder of workplace management firm Space Matters Consulting, has joined Jones Lang LaSalle as senior vice president for the Washington-based workplace strategy group.
She has more than 14 years of experience helping organizations implement strategies for corporate working conditions, real estate portfolios and employee satisfaction, JLL said Thursday.
“Kim is seasoned in delivering workplace change across complex organizations, which is a key asset to serve our global clients’ needs,” said Bernice Boucher, JLL’s workplace strategy lead in the Americas.
Vanderland most recently served as director of workplace innovation at financial services company Capital One and helped to create workplace efficiency methods and standards there.
Through Space Matters Consulting, she worked with businesses across the U.S. and assisted clients in adopting universal design concepts that promote diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
Vanderland earned a bachelor’s degree in business sustainability from Mary Baldwin College and received executive leadership training at the University of Virginia.
She serves on the corporate advisory board of the U.S. Business Leadership Network and is a member of the Acoustical Society of America, International Facility Management Association, CoreNet Global and Workplace Revolutionaries.
