Deloitte has signed an academic support partnership agreement with Scotland-based Strathclyde Business School for an analytics project, business7.co.uk reported Tuesday.
Scott McCulloch writes that the partnership will focus on maintenance analytics.
“Our new partnership will help companies analyse and utilise their data in a wide range of ways, from automating maintenance on offshore wind farms to managing complex supply chains, all the way through to predicting customer behaviour,” said Matthew Revie, University of Strathclyde School, according to the report.
“Analytics is fast becoming a significant source of competitive advantage in every sector, and many companies are now positioning themselves to manage and analyse data in order to better inform future decision making and exploit its commercial value,” said Dougie McAndrew, Deloitte’s head of analytics in Scotland.
The agreement will provide the business school’s clients with Deloitte’s tools that are based on Strathclyde analysis work, the website reports.
