Unisys has released findings of a new survey that indicates many U.S. business executives prefer to use a private cloud model for deploying secure information technology services to clients.
Unisys polled 103 business and technology leaders in the U.S. for the study and 60 percent cited security in delivering IT services as their top challenge, Unisys said Wednesday.
Fifty percent picked private cloud as their preferred model for secure service delivery, while 26 percent selected hybrid cloud and 24 percent prefer public cloud.
Rod Sapp, vice president of products and technology at Unisys, said the survey indicates that a majority of business and IT decision makers choose private clouds to help constituents and protect critical data.
Ninety two percent of respondents also intend to form secure communities of interest in order to limit network access to authorized users.
