NetApp broke ground on a research and development center in Mahadevapura, India intended to support global development and business operations, according to an InformationWeek article.
The facility is scheduled to be completed in 2015 and will contain 25,000 square foot data center on a 15 acre plot.
“To enable increasingly multidisciplinary and collaborative work, we want to have all our teams under one roof, which will enable the free flow and cross-pollination of ideas that have been hallmarks of the NetApp culture,” said George Kurian, executive vice president of NetApp product operations.
The company says the facility intends to meet global environmental and safety standards.
