John Campagnino: Accenture Pushes Initiative for More STEM Students, Professionals

Accenture has partnered with universities worldwide for an initiative intended meet the increasing demand for science, technology, engineering and math professionals, John Campagnino, managing director for global talent acquisition,

The company launched the Future Technology Leaders program to develop student interest in those fields toward professional careers, Accenture said Friday.

“Teaming with universities around the world to support STEM education and workforce development will help students with an interest in STEM to thrive, increase their career potential and more successfully compete in the job market,” said John Campagnino, managing director of global talent acquisition at Accenture.

Students taking STEM degrees at any of the 35 participating schools in 20 countries are qualified for the program.

Accenture executives will provide them career guidance and mentoring on skills development and industry knowledge, as well as internship opportunities with the company.

The company says it is finalizing this year’s roster of applicants and plans to expand to more schools in more countries across the globe.
