Chris Gehant shared in a LinkedIn post Friday that he has joined Capella Space as its vice president of constellation operations.
He brings to the company more than 20 years of industry experience focused on federal satellite ground systems support, Capella Space said in a separate LinkedIn announcement. Gehant will lead the constellations operations team as the company advances what it described as a “smarter, more resilient” synthetic aperture radar capability for its global partners.
Previous Stints in Kratos, Braxton, Lockheed
Immediately before joining the company, Gehant served for over four years as senior director for integrated ground systems at Kratos Defense and Security Solutions, according to his LinkedIn profile. He also previously worked for over 13 years at Braxton Technologies, where he served last as director of engineering after roles as systems architect and systems engineer, as well as software developer, in the company.
Gehant started his career in 2003 as a software engineer and software developer at Lockheed Martin, where he had a stint of over four years. He holds a master of science degree in software engineering management from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, and a bachelor of science in mathematics from the University of Oklahoma.
