Parsons' board of directors has elected Carey Smith, company president and chief operating officer, as CEO, effective July 1. The company said Tuesday Smith, a 2021 Wash100 Award recipient, will succeed Chuck Harrington, who is retiring after 40 years with the company. Harrington will serve on the company's board as executive chairman upon his retirement.
MoreParsons has agreed to help the National Security Agency execute a three-day competition that will test participants' cyber competencies from April 8 to 10. The company said Wednesday it will design, develop, handle and evaluate five modules during the NSA Cyber Exercise or NCX, an event that aims to bolster the cyber operational capabilities of U.S. military students and NSA development program employees.

The company said Wednesday its investments in PFAS research include machine learning and data-driven techniques to identify and mitigate PFAS risks.

The MOJAVE Functional Area 2 contract covers security specialist support, clinical psychology, threat analysis, counterintelligence and other security support services, the company said Monday.
