Parsons to Help NSA Facilitate Cyber Operational Skills Training

Parsons has agreed to help the National Security Agency execute a three-day competition that will test participants' cyber competencies from April 8 to 10.

The company said Wednesday it will design, develop, handle and evaluate five modules during the NSA Cyber Exercise or NCX, an event that aims to bolster the cyber operational capabilities of U.S. military students and NSA development program employees.

With the goal of providing principal-based education and addressing NSA's need for more network security talent, the modules will focus on cyber policy, cyber combat, cryptography, forensics and reverse engineering.

Participants will apply their expertise to simulated network operations that replicate both common and unexpected scenarios.

“The NSA’s novel approach to practical operations and education significantly enhances the readiness of our nation’s warfighters in the cyber domain,” said Nicholas Jackson, a vice president of Parsons’ cyber business.
