The U.S. Army is looking for technical tools from industry as part of efforts to develop a Fort Gordon, Georgia-based cyber laboratory, FCW reported Tuesday.
Sean Lyngaas writes the Army’s cyber battle lab is meant to accommodate experimentation with a new warfare domain.
The lab is scheduled to begin operation in October, according to the report.
FCW reports the Army solicitation also requires the contractor to perform systems engineering, satellite support, prototyping, simulation and security center services.
The contract’s performance period runs from 2015 through 2020, Lyngaas reports.
