Rockwell Collins has secured a subcontract from Boeing to provide aviation electronics equipment and engineering services for the Canadian air force’s CH-147F Chinook helicopters.
The firm-fixed-price contract calls for Rockwell Collins to service the Common Avionics Architecture System displays onboard the Royal Canadian Air Force aircraft until March 2018, Rockwell Collins said Thursday.
“This contract continues our decades-long relationship with Boeing and furthers our commitment to bringing in-country service and support to the Canadian military,†said Lee Obst, vice president and managing director for Rockwell Collins Canada.
CAAS is designed for tactical situational awareness operations and has mission sensor, weapons and navigation subsystems that seek to reduce crew workload.
