Symantec has joined CrowdStrike, Norse, ThreatStream and Webroot as partners in LogRhythm‘s threat intelligence vendor consortium that aims to provide a platform for security analytics and intelligence services against cyber threats.

The Threat Intelligence Ecosystem is intended to help customers use threat data from any of the ecosystem partners via LogRhythm’s Security Intelligence Platform, LogRhythm said Aug. 19.

“Our ecosystem approach ensures that customers can take advantage of broad spectrum intelligence, covering the full gamut of threat intelligence methods,” said Chris Petersen, LogRhythm co-founder and chief technology officer.

LogRhythm has also launched the Threat Intelligence Security Analytics Suite to support platform compatibility of threat intelligence – such as IP addresses, URLs, email addresses, file names and user agent strings identified as harmful – from the ecosystem partners.

The platform is designed to process data from machines, endpoints, servers and network forensic sensors to identify threat-related activities and prioritize high-risk threats, the company said.
