Eid Passport has obtained a certification from the Transportation Security Administration for the company’s identity management tool following tests and demonstrations.
TSA has placed Eid Passport’s RAPID-RCx program on the agency’s Transportation Worker Identification Credential Qualified Technology List, Eid Passport said Tuesday.
“We now offer maritime terminal operators a unique, portable solution through our RAPID-RCx program and bring the benefits of this field-proven solution to the commercial U.S. flag fleet and the hundreds of United States ports,†said Steve Larson, chairman and CEO of Eid Passport.
The RAPID-RCx program works to scan, read and verify TWIC and other government-issued credentials of users who access facilities and vessels by using the embedded digital ID image and fingerprints.
Eid Passport developed the program to comply with FIPS 140-2 secure connection protocols, verify PIV and PIV-I credentials, issue monthly reports and match credentials with authentication lists and regulatory data sources.
