The State Department has approved Ukraine’s request for an approximately $310.5 million foreign military sale to support the latter’s F-16 fighter jet program.
Eight companies, including Valiant Integrated Services, Top Aces, Lockheed Martin’s aeronautics business, Pratt & Whitney, Snap-on Inc., BAE Systems, AAR Corporation and Comsetra will serve as the primary contractors, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency said Friday.

The deal includes aircraft upgrades, personnel training, spare parts, maintenance support, ground equipment, software and documentation, technical studies, U.S. government and contractor support and other associated logistics and program support.
The sale is intended to enhance Ukraine’s defense capabilities, ensure pilot readiness, improve interoperability with the U.S. Air Force and support broader international efforts to modernize Ukraine’s air force.
No U.S. government or contractor personnel will be deployed to Ukraine under the agreement.
