Verizon Business has received an Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions task order from the U.S. Coast Guard worth up to $66 million.
The company said Wednesday the contract includes providing Wi-Fi, phone, data and other services to the Coast Guard’s command, control, communication, computer, cyber and intelligence office. The task order’s base period of performance will last for 12 months but may be expanded to eight years.
Verizon will provide EIS services, including internet protocol service, broadband internet service, and internet protocol voice service.
Under the contract, the company will also deliver toll-free service, managed network services, managed security services, contact center services and related equipment.
TDM Services Phaseout
Verizon will implement cellular-based plain old telephone service replacement for essential voice communications to help the Coast Guard phase out end-of-life TDM services.
The Coast Guard will receive secure Impact Level 4 software-based solutions via the firm’s Contact Center as a Service offering.
“The U.S. Coast Guard task order is yet another example of the strong relationship Verizon enjoys with a number of federal agencies, to include the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Defense, the Department of Veterans Affairs and more,” said Michael Adams, associate vice president for federal civilian services at Verizon.
