Sigma Defense Systems, a defense technology company, opened its new facility in Huntsville, Alabama, on Jan. 22.
The Perry, Georgia-headquartered company said Wednesday it expanded the office facility of the EWA Warrior Services division to boost support for customers in the Department of Defense, including the U.S. Army, Navy and Space Force.
Expansion of EWA Warriors Services Facility
EWA Warrior Services, acquired by Sigma Defense in May 2024, is a company specializing in electronic warfare systems and threat simulations. Its new facility, which comes with 12,000 square feet of office space, is the third building constructed inside the Huntsville site. The expansion brings the total space dedicated to research and development to over 19,500 square feet.
The EWA Warriors Services facility functions as a development hub providing test and training services. It is equipped with CNC machines, 3-D printers and other advanced technologies that enable rapid prototyping, manufacturing and production.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new facility was attended by company executives, employees and special guests. Among those present were representatives of Congressman Dale Strong and Huntsville Mayor Tommy Battle along with members of the Huntsville Chamber of Commerce.
Jeff Morgan, president of EWA Warrior Services, stated, “This new facility represents not just growth for EWA Warrior Services but our ability to deliver cutting-edge solutions for our customer and bring new jobs to the Huntsville community.”
