The State Department has approved the Polish government’s $105 million sales request for mobile ground control approach systems and related equipment.
The Defense Security Cooperation Agency said Friday Poland seeks to purchase GCA-2000 systems, including ultra high-frequency radios, AN/UPX interrogators, radio navigation tools, testing equipment, precision navigation capabilities, spare and repair parts, consumables, accessories and warranties.
The proposed sale also covers publications and technical documentation, personnel training, studies and surveys as well as engineering, technical and logistics support.
L3Harris Technologies will serve as the primary contractor for this sale.
Poland intends to use the systems to enhance its air traffic control capabilities, strengthen national defense and support NATO’s collective security framework by providing secure and efficient aviation services in line with international standards.
