Aquia Appoints Chris Hughes as CEO, David Maskeroni as Chief Revenue Officer - top government contractors - best government contracting event

Aquia, a cloud and cybersecurity digital services firm, has realigned its leadership team to accelerate its growth trajectory and scale its operations more efficiently.

Chris Hughes, Aquia co-founder and current president, has taken on additional responsibility as the new CEO, the position previously held by David Maskeroni, who is now the chief revenue officer, Aquia said Thursday.

In their new roles, Hughes, a former U.S. Air Force cybersecurity specialist and federal civil servant, will use his expertise in cybersecurity and business strategy to drive Aquia’s overall vision and day-to-day operations, while Maskeroni, a former U.S. Army captain and senior leader within the federal government, will bring a more hands-on approach to leading the company’s revenue growth initiatives, capitalizing on his yearslong experience in high-pressure, mission-critical environments.

“I look forward to building on all of our existing foundational success and momentum, and continuing to be a premier digital services team serving our government customers and industry partners,” said Hughes.

Commenting on his latest appointment, Maskeroni said the transition enables him to “focus on driving sustainable growth for Aquia and expanding our footprint within government support services.”

Hughes and Maskeroni will continue working with co-founder John Sasser to attain Aquia’s strategic goals.
