Jason Wicker has assumed the role of chief technology officer for the public sector at IT consulting company Rackspace Technology.
In a LinkedIn post on Friday, he said he would oversee the company’s efforts to drive technological innovations and develop new business offerings for customers in the public sector.
“My focus has always been on building lasting relationships with key stakeholders and executives, aligning our strategies with clients’ priorities to help them achieve their business objectives,” he wrote.
Wicker joined Rackspace in 2018 as lead architect. He most recently held the roles of chief architect for government solutions and director of presales at the Texas-headquartered company.
Before his career at Rackspace, he held leadership positions at Sumo Logic, Mirantis, IBM, StoredIq, VMware and Dell.
In addition to his executive role, the enterprise IT expert also joined the Foundry for Generative Artificial Intelligence by Rackspace, the company’s effort to promote responsible development and deployment of AI across industries.
