The national security services subsidiary of Idemia conducted a demonstration of ID2Access, its end-to-end biometric access control technology, for officials of the U.S. Army and Department of Defense.
The demo took place on Wednesday at Redstone Arsenal in Alabama as part of Idemia’s contract with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to provide frictionless security technology for the military base, the company announced.
ID2Access enables identity verification of visitors, personnel and residents without their having to go through the Visitor Control Center of Redstone Arsenal. The event also showed how Idemia’s innovation employs facial recognition to detect multiple occupants in a vehicle passing through the site’s gates.
Idemia NSS CEO Patrick Clancey said his company “is eager to show the value that ID2Access brings,” adding that he and his organization are keen to provide the Redstone Arsenal facility with a solution that secures access and movement while reducing traffic and delays.
