Google Public Sector Selects WWT as Managed Provider of Sovereign Distributed Cloud

Google Public Sector has chosen World Wide Technology to operate its new sovereign cloud platforms, Jan Niemiec, GPS managing director of national security, announced Friday. GPS entered into a partnership to make WWT the first managed provider of Google Distributed Cloud Hosted, which will serve federal agencies needing to manage their infrastructure even without internet connection.

Iron EagleX Awarded Contract to Support SOCOM Intelligence Data Science Team

The U.S. Special Operations Command awarded Iron EagleX a $29 million contract to assist in the establishment of an Intelligence Data Science Team for Program Executive Office – Special Operations Forces Digital Applications. The Department of Defense announced Wednesday that the company will collaborate with IDST analysts to integrate and engineer data using SOCOM's SOF Networks at the command's headquarters.

The State Risk and Authorization Management Program, the regional version of the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program, will require greater accountability from organizations supporting or providing cybersecurity services to the U.S. government, said Ted Cotterill, Indiana's chief privacy officer and general counsel for the Management Performance Hub. 7 Small Businesses Selected for DARPA AI Cyber Challenge

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency has chosen seven companies for the small business track of the Artificial Intelligence Cyber Challenge. The competing small businesses were evaluated by the Air Force Research Laboratory, the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Research and Engineering and the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health, DARPA said Monday.

DARPA will be represented by Kathleen Fisher, director of the Information Innovation Office, at the Potomac Officers Club's 5th Annual Artificial Intelligence Summit on March 21. Register now!

Leidos, RTX Subsidiary Win Contracts to Support DARPA’s Quantum Augmented Network

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency awarded contracts to Leidos and Raytheon BBN, an RTX company, for services related to the Quantum Augmented Network program. The cost-plus-fixed-fee contracts, valued at $8.5 million for Leidos and $7.5 million for BBN, is for the development of a hybrid quantum-based communication network specifically for critical infrastructure security, the Department of Defense said Friday.

GA-ASI, AFRL Complete Inaugural Test Flight of Unmanned Off-Board Sensing Station

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems' XQ-67A off-board sensing station completed its inaugural flight three weeks after the company conducted high-speed taxi trials of the drone with the U.S. Air Force Laboratory. GA-ASI announced that the test flight took place on Wednesday, validating the effectiveness of a common core chassis as the genus for constructing different aircraft variants.
