Booz Allen Hamilton will help the Internal Revenue Service update information technology systems through the company’s position on the seven-year, $2.6 billion IRS Enterprise Development, Operations Services blanket purchase agreement.
The multiple-award EDOS BPA comprises task orders to modernize applications critical to the agency’s tax administration and regulation processes, the company said Tuesday.
McLean, Virginia-based Booz Allen intends to assist IRS in reducing legacy agency IT footprint to improve citizen service delivery and meet tax filing season deadlines.
The company has supported the agency for 25 years.
“We look forward to the opportunity to apply our decades of experience in powering data-enabled missions as we enhance the way the IRS serves the public by modernizing legacy systems, building up and leveraging data and analytics and delivering cutting-edge technology to operate more effectively,” said Richard Crowe, president of Booz Allen’s civil sector.
