Parsons has received contracts to study the feasibility of transitioning fleets in three U.S. states to a zero-emission vehicle design and help the transportation departments there to plan their adoption of electric buses.

The multimillion-dollar projects involve looking into the possible bottlenecks of truck electrification as part of comprehensive research work, Parsons said Wednesday.

Peter Torrellas, president of Parsons’ connected communities business, said the company has supported public transit agencies for decades with its technology and service offerings.

Many jurisdictions nationwide stand to gain from a $7.5 billion investment plan under the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, also known as the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law for public bus fleet conversion commitments.
