GrammaTech has named Mike Armistead, senior vice president at FireEye, and Jim Routh, former chief security officer at Aetna, to the board of directors of the Bethesda, Maryland-based application testing technology provider.
The two technology industry veterans will work to provide counsel to GrammaTech's software testing and research business segment as part of their new roles, the company said Wednesday.
Prior to Armistead's current capacity at FireEye, he co-founded Respond Software and worked as its CEO until the company's acquisition by FireEye in 2020.
He also co-founded Fortify Software and spent time at ArcSight in various leadership roles.
Routh, on the other hand, held the posts of chief information security officer and CSO at Aetna, CVS, JP Morgan Chase, Mass Mutual, American Express, DTCC and KPMG. He also led the Health Information Sharing and Analysis Center's board as chair.
Mike Dager, CEO at GrammaTech, said the appointees will bring decades' worth of experience in expanding technology businesses and handling large organizations to the board.
