Science Applications International Corp. has won a potential five-year, $57M task order from the U.S. Navy to provide engineering support to the polymers and undersea sensors branch within a Naval Surface Warfare Center branch located in Crane, Ind.
SAIC said Thursday it will support NSWC-Crane Division in efforts to develop, test, evaluate, overhaul or repair multiple sensors, underwater cables and elastomer-based products.
The task order was awarded under the Navy's Seaport-e contract and has one base year along with four option years.
“This win not only continues the strong partnership we’ve had for 30 years with NSWC Crane but it is also an affirmation of the Product Support Center services model we’ve developed with them," said Jim Scanlon, executive vice president and general manager at SAIC's defense systems customer group.
The model focuses on lifecycle support services for platforms through sustainment, integration, system engineering and analysis techniques. It can be deployed via customer-defined modules or as a tailored comprehensive package.
