Raytheon has landed a $72.4M contract to produce fire control system equipment for the U.S. Navy‘s Aegis Weapon System.
The company will modernize the MK 99 fire control system and provide related engineering services under the firm-fixed-price, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.
The Navy will initially obligate $22.9M in fiscal 2018 shipbuilding, conversion and defense-wide procurement funds.
Work will take place in Massachusetts, Virginia, Rhode Island and California through April 2022.
Raytheon produces MK 99 fire control systems and SPY-1D(V) transmitters of Aegis integrated missile guidance systems used on U.S. and allied naval ships.
