An L3 Technologies subsidiary will produce mine detection platforms for the U.S. Army under a potential five-year, $83.9M contract.
L3’s Security and Detection Systems business will also provide support services for the AN/PSS-14 countermine system, the Department of Defense said Thursday.
Work under the firm-fixed-price contract will run through Nov. 20, 2023.
AN/PSS-14 uses a ground radar, metal detector, software and microprocessor array software to detect antipersonnel and antitank mines.
Army Contracting Command is the contracting activity and will determine funds and work locations upon award of each task order.
