Cubic‘s global defense segment has won an award from the National Training and Simulation Association for developing a live, virtual and constructive technology designed to train U.S. Air Force and U.S. Navy fighter pilots.
The company said Wednesday it received the 2018 Modeling and Simulation award Tuesday at the Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference.
Cubic collaborated with the Air Force Research Laboratory and Naval Air Systems Command to demonstrate the Secure LVC Advanced Training Environment.
As the SLATE systems integrator, showcased the integration of virtual and constructive approaches into live-aircraft cockpits as part of large force exercises that took place at Nellis Air Force Base.
NAVAIR, AFRL and Cubic will discuss the results of the SLATE technology demonstration at the Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference in Orlando.
