Deloitte has launched a new service aimed at helping customers leverage drones for business applications and understand the risks involved when utilizing said technologies.
The company said Wednesday its new Deloitte US Global Drone Solutions offering is made to assist clients in forming drone strategies for data collection and integration into business activities including analytics, risk management and governance.
Peter Liu, managing director at Deloitte Consulting, said the company intends to help clients deploy drones in ways that meet business objectives while remaining compliant with government-imposed rules.
The company said the product aims to further assist customers in identifying drone and counter-drone strategies; learning flight paths; gathering, analyzing and storing data; and adapting results into the client’s operations.
Additionally, the firm also released a report titled “Assessing the Risks of Drones and Unmanned Aerial Systems”, which tackles the vulnerabilities present when using drones, and includes guidelines on how to address various risk scenarios.
