General Dynamics will unveil a new 4GÂ LTE communications platform at a two-day industry event that is scheduled to kick off Monday.
The company said Friday it will showcase during the 2018 APCO International Annual Conference and Expo the FirstRunner system designed to help public safety organizations communicate and access critical data while they perform missions in the field.
FirstRunner works to support internet connectivity, Ka-band satellite auto-deployment, enterprise-class gigabit wired networking, primary secure pop-up network and mobility for first responders.
The system is scheduled to undergo a compatibility test later this year with the FirstNet national emergency communications network being built by AT&T.
General Dynamics added it will showcase the SHIELD Ecosystem designed to provide first response commanders with information access on personnel availability, skill and location.
