A&T Systems plans to debut its new cloud migration and storage service at Amazon Web Services‘ 2018 World Wide Public Sector Summit, which will run from Wednesday to Thursday in Washington D.C.
The company said Monday it will serve as an exhibitor and sponsor for the event at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, where it will launch its Managed Storage as a Service product geared for use by the Defense Department.
A&T designed the STaaS based on a cloud storage platform the company previously developed and delivered for two mission owners in the U.S. Army.
The STaaS is built on an AWS cloud platform and is geared to accommodate extensive data volumes at various levels of information classification for short and long-term use or storage.
A&T’s cloud storage service is meant to provide continuous compliance with regulations such as DoD’s Security Requirements Guide and Risk Management Framework, apt impact level for an authority to operate certification and chain-of-custody management during data transfer.
The company intends to facilitate optimized data movement and ingestion from DoD datacenters to the cloud and reduce costs with the use of storage features such as the AWS S3 and AWS Glacier.
A&T is a member of the AWS Partner Network for advanced consulting and government competency and is an authorized value-added and government reseller.
