CAE‘s U.S. subsidiary has received a potential five-year contract to support primary, intermediate and advanced ground-based training programs for U.S. Navy pilots.
The company said Tuesday CAE USA will provide instructors to help the service branch train aviators at five naval air stations.
Primary phase training will occur at Navy facilities in Whiting Field, Fla. and Corpus Christi, Texas, while intermediate and advanced instruction phases will take place at facilities in Meridian, Miss., and Kingsville, Texas.
CAE USA will also provide training for naval flight officers at the military service’s base in Pensacola, Fla.
The subsidiary plans to use the T-6B Texan aircraft for primary training and the T-45C Goshawk for intermediate and advanced instructions.
The contract has a one-year base period and four one-year options.
