PAE CEO John Heller has been appointed to the Kogod Advisory Council, which offers mentorship and professional advice to American University’s Kogod School of Business.
Heller told KSB in an interview that he plans to prepare new graduates for employment by providing advice to the university on how it can help build up the hiring rate and sharing his experience in the government contracting sector to help the institution attract and generate quality graduates, KSB said in a July 3 news release.
“I also think I can help by sharing how businesses view new graduates,†said Heller, an inductee into Executive Mosaic’s Wash100 for 2017.
“This input can be helpful for the university to consider when building a program’s curriculum.â€
He also cited factors that motivated him to join the council such as his aim to serve the local community and intention to support KSB Dean John Delaney.
Before PAE, Heller held senior leadership positions at Engility, Harris and L-3 Communications, which now operates as L3 Technologies.
