A group of female executives from McLean, Virginia-based national security and technology services contractor Altamira took part in The Women’s Center-hosted leadership conference that featured career development, discussion and networking sessions for attendees.
Altamira said Monday the 31st annual leadership conference held on April 22 recognized the careers of notable female leaders and featured several speakers that include Arati Prabhakar, former head of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency; Air Force Major Gen. Kimberly Crider, a partner at velocityHUB; and Deborah Rutter, president of The Kennedy Center.
“Altamira’s leadership team proudly joins The Women’s Center in recognizing the achievements of this year’s group of highly accomplished award recipients,†said Altamira CEO Ted Davies.
“Their dedication inspires all of us at Altamira as we work together to increase the presence of women in [science, technology, engineering and math] fields,†Davies added.
The Women’s Center works to provide resources, mental health counseling and educational support to women in the Washington, D.C. area.
