Science Applications International Corporation and The Hay Group division of Korn Ferry will hold the ninth cohort of its Leveraging Military Leadership Program that works to help veterans transition into civilian careers.
LMLP is a three-month program led by SAIC and Hay Group professionals that includes coaching, instruction, group exercises lectures and online, remote and in-person assessment, as well Hay Group’s leadership development services given to CEOs, board and other senior executive in global organizations, Korn Ferry said Thursday.
Randy Manner, retired U.S. Army Major Gen. and Korn Ferry senior partner, said that the LMLP supports veterans to articulate their unique value, chart their career strategy-based professional journey and foster their personal, interpersonal and executive communication skills.
“We offer a variety of positions for veterans transitioning from military to civilian work, including many in science, technology, engineering, and math related fields,†said Kimberly Admire, SAIC chief human resources officer.
She added that SAIC believes in the value and skill set that veterans bring to the company with veterans comprising 25 percent of its workforce.
LMLP’s in-person portion of the program is scheduled on September 30 to October 2 in McLean, Virginia and is available for veterans of any rank who have left military service within the past two years or for those who will transition in the next year.
