Mac Curtis, president and CEO of Vencore, has received the Executive Leader of the Year award from the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce in recognition of his efforts as chairman of the 2015 Greater Washington Heart Walk.
Curtis accepted the recognition as part of the Chamber’s 2016 Outstanding Corporate Citizenship Awards that seek to recognize companies and business executives for their corporate responsibility efforts, Vencore said Tuesday.
“I look forward to continuing to serve as an advocate for corporate social responsibility and the phenomenal impact that our business community has had on the Greater Washington Region,†said Curtis, also an inductee into Executive Mosaic’s Wash100 for 2016.
The American Heart Association held the Heart Walk event in November and raised more than $2.1 million in funds.
Vencore also raised nearly $300,000 during the event.
