Sonya Branco, current CAEÂ vice president and corporate controller, will assume her new duties as VP for finance and chief financial officer beginning May 23.
CAE said Wednesday Branco will succeed Stephane Lefebvre, who will move on to take a leadership role at le Cirque du Soleil.

“Sonya is a highly skilled and successful financial executive and a strong leader within CAE.”
Branco, a chartered professional accountant, joined CAE in 2008 and has 15 years of experience in public accounting, financial reporting, strategic planning and mergers and acquisitions.
She previously worked on M&A at BCE and on audit and advisory services at PwC.
