Norman Hayes, a retired U.S Navy rear admiral and current Dynamic Technology Systems executive vice president for cybersecurity and intelligence, has joined Assured Enterpises‘ board of directors.

Hayes has more than 20 years of experience in intelligence analysis, operational intelligence and cybersecurity, Assured said Wednesday.

“[We] value his insight into cutting edge techniques for managing insider threats and his business acumen for providing the highest quality IT services and cybersecurity goods and services to the U.S. government and the commercial sectors,” said Assured CEO Stephen Soble.

Soble noted that Hayes has also been a member of the company’s board of advisers for the past two years.

Hayes received awards such as the Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal and Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal during his Navy career.

The Indiana University graduate has also previously served as director of intelligence for U.S. European Command and as director of the National Security Operations Center of the National Security Agency.
