Gary DePreta serves as director in the public sector sales organization of Cisco, where he leads the company’s federal national security operation.
DePreta was most recently responsible for Cisco’s civilian agency sales organization and federal healthcare and scientific agency teams.
Upon joining Cisco, DePreta worked to help Cisco develop go-to-market programs that led to the expansion of the company’s federal partner ecosystem.
He previously served as vice president and general manager at International Network Services, where he oversaw the Mid-Atlantic Operation subsidiary and Ethical Hacking Center of Excellence business units.
Prior to joining INS, DePreta held sales and leadership roles at IBM’s technology services division in Atlanta, Georgia and Gaithersburg, Maryland.
Earlier in his career, DePreta deployed on two overseas Western Pacific tours for the U.S. Navy onboard the USS Elliot DD-967 in San Diego, California.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in computer electronic science from Iona College in New Rochelle, New York.
