Bart Thielbar, formerly chief operating officer of TMG Consulting, has joined Capgemini as vice president and utilities practice lead at the company’s North American subsidiary.
Capgemini said Tuesday that Thielbar comes into the role with more than 25 years of business operations management experience and will report directly to Rob McKay, Capgemini North America senior VP and energy, utilities and chemicals lead.
“The need for utilities to modernize, digitize and transform their business models has never been more intense, and I’m looking forward to helping our clients innovate and expand their capabilities,” Thielbar said.
He previously served the roles of SVP at Five Point Partners, president at Itility Solutions, chief information officer at a natural gas and electric company.
He has also chaired the technology advisory councils of the Edison Electric Institute and the American Gas Association.
