Jeff DeMarrais, formerly chief communications officer of General Electric‘s healthcare business, will serve as senior vice president and chief communications officer of CA Technologies beginning July 20.
CA said Thursday DeMarrais will work from New York and report to Lauren Flaherty, the company’s chief marketing officer.
“I look forward to having him at the helm of the important brand and communications work we are doing both inside and outside CA,” said Flaherty.
At GE, DeMarrais was in charge of integrated communications campaigns and the overseas communications strategy for the company’s “Industrial Internet of Things” initiative.
He has also led internal and external communications for GE’s specialty materials, plastics, transportation, infrastructure and technology infrastructure lines of business.
He was chief operating officer for the company’s global communications organization and previously worked in public relations at John Wiley & Sons.
