A subsidiary of Northrop Grumman has won the 2015 Dwight D. Eisenhower Award for Excellence from the Small Business Administration in recognition of the company’s efforts to provide small businesses opportunities to serve as subcontractors and suppliers.
SBA Administrator Maria Contreras-Sweet presented the award on May 8 to the global supplier diversity program-office at Northrop Grumman Information Systems during the National Small Business Week held in Washington, D.C., Northrop said Thursday.
“Northrop Grumman’s work with small businesses and the relationships we have built with each of them over the years is crucial to our supply chain,” said Cynthia Hyland, vice president of global supply chain at Northrop Grumman Information Systems.
“We are grateful for them and this award.”
Hyland and Lynn Livengood, manager of global supplier diversity programs at Northrop Grumman Information Systems, accepted the award from Contreras-Sweet.
