Anne Altman, general manager of U.S. federal and government industries at IBM, has been appointed a member of the board of directors at manufacturing firm SPX Corp. and will serve a three-year term.
SPX Chairman, President and CEO Christopher Kearney said Monday Altman brings experience in marketing, workforce optimization and organizational management.
“Drawing on her many years of experience with IBM, Anne is well positioned to contribute to the SPX board of directors her valuable expertise in working with government and regulatory agencies, as well as her deep understanding of the global IT infrastructure and security landscape,” Kearney added.
Altman is a 34-year veteran at IBM and serves on the company’s performance team and IBM Industry Academy advisory board.
She is also vice chairman of the Northern Virginia Technology Council and Technology Council chair of the Professional Services Council.
