Leidos has been named a recipient of the U.S. Defense Department‘s Nunn-Perry Award for collaborating with a smaller company through the agency’s mentor-protege program.
The company said Tuesday it received recognition for mentoring Minerva Engineering, an information security and cyber defense technology provider in the government sector.
“The end result of our work with Minerva Engineering is that the DoD received excellent service in the work being performed,” said Jim Moos, president of Leidos’ engineering solutions group.
It marks the 15th time that the company was honored with the DoD Nunn-Perry Award.
Leidos said that to date, it has established mentor-protege relationships with more than 90 organizations to help them increase their government contracting activities.
