Homi Kapadia, a 28-year veteran of Deloitte, has succeeded Terry Hisey as vice chairman and national life sciences head at the financial advisory firm.
Kapadia will be based in Philadelphia and be responsible for overseeing the company’s consulting services for pharmaceutical, medical device, biotechnology and healthcare organizations, Deloitte said Monday.
He holds experience in advising clients on enterprise strategies, operations and supply chain management.
“We are moving to an era in which the growth and success of a life sciences company depends upon new relationships on the clinical delivery and payment sides, and upon having the right scale and level of capabilities globally,†said Kapadia.
“I look forward to working with our partners, principals and directors in drawing upon Deloitte’s range of services and perspectives in giving executives at life sciences companies the confidence to chart a way forward in today’s complex environment,” he added.
He previously served as a Deloitte board director and an executive committee member as well as held other leadership roles within the firm’s life science practice.
Kapadia earned his bachelor’s degree from the Indian Institute of Technology and both his M.B.A and M.S. degrees from the from the University of California, Los Angeles.
