Leidos will help the West Point Society of DC promote leadership ethics and diversity by sponsoring a science, technology, engineering and math workshop on April 11 at Howard University.
The workshop, administered and funded by Seeds of Humanity Foundation, is slated to have an attendence of more than 40 schools with 220 teachers and student delegates in grades seven to 12, Leidos announced Tuesday.
West Point’s math department and the Army Research Lab will present the STEM workshop and talk about competitive STEM opportunities.
Leidos has also volunteered employees to serve as judges in subject matter expertise competitions.
“We are excited to present an event that supports the development of ethical leadership and STEM competence, two urgent concepts that help enhance our national character and our national security,” said Pat Locke, West Point LEADS coordinator.
